Overall, everything was great. TV wasn't plugged into anything. I plugged it into my laptop, but we ultimately didn't end up using it much. I could have called the front desk for help, but it wasn't that big of a deal for us. Room is smaller than it looks on pictures, but that's not a big deal, it was newly renovated and clean, beds were comfortable, pillows were nice, heat lamp in the bathroom is always nice. Blackout curtains did their job. The room was quiet, even though the street was noisy outside. Every room has a river facing balcony which was nice and catches the setting sun over the ridge. The roaring of the river is lovely. The hotel is about a mile or a little more round trip to walk into town, if you are walking to Calhoun's it's a hike. We did this everyday, a few times several of the days, especially since parking in town is a minimum of $20. Continental breakfast was warm and plentiful. We hit up Pancake Pantry one day in town, other than that, my husband and son were the waffle maker kings at the Baymont. The pool was nice and warm and closed in, once again, smaller in reality than the photos show. FYI- This hotel is around the corner at the beginning of Gatlinburg on the one of main roads going into town. You are walking uphill to get into town and downhill coming back. We were there to hike, eat and do touristy things so walking was an expectation and made us feel better gorging on pancakes and waffles. My mother, who's not a walker, would have struggled. This isn't a knock on the Baymont, it's just information for those of you making a decision for your family. In the four days we were there, I saw the actual trolley stop at our "trolley stop" just once. I also don't have the patience to wait when I can walk, so we didn't actually wait for it. I averaged a minimum of 14,000 steps everyday and several thousand more on hiking days.

The hotel is adorable on the outside and so.open, clean and inviting in the rooms. The balcony overlooks the running creek and you can hear the rapids beautifully. We saw geese, chipmunks and black bear from our balcony. The breakfast was good, the reception staff was nice and housekeeping was top notch. Our room was kept immaculate and well stocked each day. The location was perfect because you're on the main parkway, but just enough away from the "strip" that you can enjoy the quiet. 20 out of 10 stars for Baymont and we'll definitely stay here again! ❤️

The staff was always so pleasant and the breakfast was a 10 out of 10. Being on the river is awesome the whole hotel has covered parking and the indoor pool was amazing I've stayed at other hotels with indoor pools and this one by far was the best when it came to the heat and the outdoor sitting area with the fireplace was great and also the pool and fire pit area was 24 hours that's just awesome. About a 10 minute walk from downtown, not too bad.

We loved the room and the view of river from it !! It's right on the river and you can hear it flowing which is so soothing. The location is right at the heart of Gatlinburg which is a bonus. Moonshine coaster is just a stone's throw. We loved everything about this place.

Silpa

Views are incredible. Location is conveniently just off the main strip. Ample parking during my stay. Breakfast could offer more options like croissants and hard boiled eggs. Staff were kind and accommodating. I could definitely stay here again.
